Pauline Johnston is a community activation specialist and runs Civic and Social, a creative place-shaping consultancy that 'makes good things happen in our neighbourhoods'. 

A nationally recognised and multi award-winning place-based innovator, she's behind Greater Manchester's first 'active neighbourhood’ scheme and is the founding director of Station South – a once-dilapidated railway station turned award-winning cycle café and active travel hub, dubbed “the cyclé cafe for everyone” and most recently awarded a coveted Pineapple for ‘Child Friendly Place’. She's currently working with Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation to shape the social infrastructure approach in regeneration schemes by working creatively with a wide remit communities, partners and stakeholders.
