With over 20 years’ experience working in regeneration and the housing sector Lesley Penton’s role as Director of Partnerships for The Regenda Group is to maintain and develop strategic partnerships and relationships that support regeneration and provide opportunities for people and places to thrive. The Regenda Group is made up of nine companies with a housing association at its core. The group operates across building and construction, education and training and care and support to improve outcomes for people.
Lesley has been a trustee of St George’s Hall since 2022. St Georges Hall is often described as the beating heart of Liverpool. It is one of the worlds finest neoclassical building and is a Grade I listed landmark in Liverpool. As a trustee Lesley actively supports the conservation and restoration of the hall. She is keen to see the hall’s heritage act as a catalyst to raise aspirations of communities across Merseyside for generations to come. Lesley sits as the Chair of the Cornerstones Employers Board in Liverpool City Region working closely with the LCR Careers HUB to support the development of world class careers education across
Liverpool City Region by closing the gap between employers, schools and colleges to target disadvantage, promote pathways, upskill, inform and drive better outcomes for young people. As a trained community organiser, Lesley has worked tirelessly to support the founding of Liverpool Citizens (part of Citizens UK, the UK’s biggest most diverse people-powered alliance). Liverpool Citizens launched in November 2024 brings over 600 people from 19 diverse organisations committed to building a better, fairer society and to win change in Liverpool.
Lesley is passionate about social justice, social mobility and raising aspirations of young people.
